The highly anticipated award gala of the coveted Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) held in Lagos with film makers across the globe converging under the same roof to celebrate African cinema. The award gala was held the Lagos Marriot Hotel, Ikeja, Nigeria. The event was hosted by award-winning comedian Stanley Chibuna “Funnybone” and Chioma “Chigurl” Omeruah. ‘Eyimofe’ and ‘The Gravediggers Wife’ from Nigeria and Somalia respectively, both won multiple awards at the event last night.
